Maybe some food for thought?

What is the body beautiful in China?

What are the characteristics of the female figure in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Taipei? Are women in these cities satisfied with their bodies? An underwear company conducted a survey seeking to answer just such questions

The results: Beijing women have teh biggest che.sts; Guangzhou women have the slimmest wai.sts; Shanghai women have the firmest bre.asts; while Taipei women have “hot,” well proportioned figures.

The survey shows that Beijing women are most confident about their bodies. 13% of Beijing women who participated in the survey say that they are not at all dissatisfied with their bodies.

Although Beijing women have the thickest waists, 36% of them say they are satisfied wit theirs, the highest rate of satisfaction in four cities.

Shanghai woman have the smallest bre.asts, but the biggest numerical difference between bust size and and under bust size. This means that they have the most beautiful, firmest bre.asts and do not suffer from “thick back.” Guangzhou women are the least satisfied with their thi.ghs. However, they have the slimmest waists and have well-proportioned figures. Guangzhou women’s figures are as “hot” as those of Taipei women.

Taipei women are the least satisfied with their bodies. They are the most concerned about having flabby and pedulous bre.asts, portly bellies, saggy and flabby hips and cellulite blemishes. They yearn for round and raised hips like those of western women.

let’s see here:

• the fact someone has done this survey at first seems pretty sad… but then again, it is an interesting socio-cultural look into the mindsets of the population segment surveyed…
• seriously…. most women are just never satisfied…. they consider taipei women the “hottest” but at the same time show them to be the most DISSATISFIED with their bodies~!
• this trend follows the world over… people are never satisfied with what they have… the grass is always greener on the other side… if something is too small, she’ll complain and want to be bigger… is bigger will complain and want to be smaller… if you weigh more than the girl standing next to you… who cares?! if you’re unhealthy, then that’s an issue in itself… if you’re healthy… then why compare yourself to the next girl?
• why i don’t complain that there aren’t a lot of guys that are extremely image conscious, prissy, primadonas, etc…. but for the most part… it seems like guys are just more indifferent… and rather concentrate on getting that girl (or whatever the case may be in their lives) than being overly preoccupied with size of the hips, waste, chest, etc….
