ITEM the First =D

Wow… it’s almost the weekend already….
last weekend we recorded are first official Video Podcast / VidCast / Vlog.. or whatever you want to call it… and it’s STILL sitting in editing hehehe :P:P

the night we recorded i edited it down from 30-45 minutes of footage down to 8 1/2 minutes ^__^ but it still needed some other things before it could be finished up…

of course it doesn’t help that i can’t use my laptop to edit it…

but sooner or later we’ll get it up ^____^

Next, I just wanted to point out my surprise that Chris from Alt.Cast mentioned my posted comments in three of his episodes lately! He’s got a number of things to talk about from Music (He featured many artists especially Vancouver artists), the Canucks, Firefly, things that are going on the world, etc…. subscribe to his podcasts… hey why not… it’s so easy to do with PodCatchers like iTunes or the FireANT aggregator.

Google Custom Homepage!! =@

The new google custom home pages are great!! basically you can put your aggregated feeds, news, weather, and gmail right on a personal custom homepage with a great UI (think Ajax+Web2.0 goodness)… now just chart generation like stocks or currency trading values (for craig)

the move, the laptop, and the lack of vlog entries… oh my

While the weather’s getting colder and wetter, motorbiking gets more difficult.
To combat the increasing risks, i’ve moved across the city from North Vancouver… to across the street from my office in False Creek…

Along with this move, i’ve submitted my blog/vblog site to http://www.vlogmap.org/ — check out their site… uses google maps to map the locations of vloggers all over the world…

and of course with the move… i’m more likely to finish reviewing all these restaurants in the area

until last night though… we haven’t had shower curtains =(
this means no showers for two days ~__________________
~glad that’s over with now…

we’ve been running around with our heads cut off…

October 31st Halloween….
I ride home after work, but my brake light burns out!
Halloween is a REALLY bad day to be out riding without adequate vehicular lighting!!
freaking kids!! are crazy…
Chris Choi at Alt.Cast, a Vancouver (delta) based PodCast, talks about his opinions on kids these days on halloween… in his episode #29
I know we’re not really that old… but teenagers these days seem sooooooooooooo young comparatively =(

Scott picks me up because i’m not willing to ride the rest of the night…
we had to swerve to avoid some fireworks in the busy intersection of Canada Way and Willington!!
Got the insurance place at 9pm… they closed at 9pm!
Calling up Craig to get him to rush rush rush over… so we could get day insurance for his van…

After some grub, I got my first look our new place!!!
like Family Guy says: “this house is freaking sweet”

DUDE!! there’s two shower heads in the jaccuzi!!! TWO SHOWER HEADS!!! DUUUUUDDE!!! wait.. why are we saying “dude” ?!

I really WISH i had a video camera to record a lot of these moments… for a VLOG entry!!

after seeing the place we’re like: let’s move in tonight!!

so back to my place… of course i hadn’t packed… rip everything out and load it into the van…
that van is nasty to drive… stalls really easily… a tire was super super flat (only got like 5 blocks going 20-30kph on it before we made it to the gas station to fill the tire)

after some minor adventure, we made it there and unloaded all my stuff…
set it all up…

i got to sleep at 5am to be up in the morning at like 9:30am or so…

we got craig to help out… (only he can effectively drive his van… especially when it stalls and you have to neutral-restart while rolling…

we had a little road trip adventure out to langely to pick up some of scott’s stuff…

it’s actually 2 1/2 levels… i’ve only shown you the 1st and 3rd levels.. the middle level is the other bedroom, bathroom, etc…
i’m quite surprised… it’s a really nice place that’s comfy… although it does need a few things…
but hey! it’s 30 meters from work

anyways… we’re all moved in now..

and my laptop dies!! argh!!!!

i JUST got it back from repair and it dies!!!

well… it’s not dead… it’s just that the battery won’t charge…
the plugged in like doesn’t go on, and the battery doesn’t charge
i have 40% battery left… and no way to run on AC power nor charge the battery =(

argh!!!!

i was soo planning on putting out some vlog entries too!!

i had one mostly edited up… i was only missing our igen theme song…
argh!! =( =(

i’ll try to put together some vlog entries on my old old crappy computer though… but 300GB across 6 hard drives in this thing and i have no free disk space ~___~ and while i used to do video editing on this computer… that was in the days when we accepted having to wait several days for render a video ~______________

i will try to get something new out…
but while my laptop is in disarray… it may have to be unedited vlog entry from the living room…

let’s hope for some positive outcomes….

on the bright side… last week Craig and I finished our article on Audio Podcasting and Video Podcasting, iPod and iTunes services, etc…
