The Gloves are off! and The Challenge is ON!

Statuses updated: 2/21/2006

Business

• The Product site will be launched (delay)
  
• The Product prototype will be finished (delay)
  
• I will quit my dayjob and focus more on other projects and ventures (ok)
  
• The Product prototype will be re-examined
• I will concentrate more on my duties as Chief Technical Officer of iGEN Knowledge Solutions
• I will help James ROCK R&D of his new product!
• I will develop an 18 month Strategic Plan for iGEN Knowledge Solutions
• I will plan for research into learning management and cross cultural knowledge management for research project

Media, Web, and Productions

• The Derek Wallace . com professional site will be relaunched with the new CSS style. (ok)
  
• The darkSinister Productions and Intercultural Media with their new design! (ok)
  
• The Archetype BlogCast will be relaunched with it窶冱 new custom WP+PHP+AJAX design (ok)
  
• I will borrow a video camera (done!)
  
• I will buy my own 3CCD Video Camera
• ThinkPiece will launch with great intriguing content
• I will write a song
• I will produce a video to go with my song
• I will produce 10-30 small videography segments available in the blogcast format
• I will produce 1-2 videgraphy shorts with darkSinister Productions and they will be accompanied by content guiding people through the process so they can do it themselves

Personal

• I will get my passport (done)
• I will sell my motorcycle
• I will get my Japan Travel VISA
• I will get my plan ticket to Japan (and hopefully Taiwan/Korea)
• I will look at what grad school programs fit with my research

For those of you that know me… know that i’m about to move to asia… hopefully Taiwan and Korea before spending the next perhaps-year in japan… as many of you know I am nikkei (japanese descendant) and i think it will be good to explore my cultural (and linguistic because my japanese has gotten pretty bad) roots… so i think it’s going to be a crazy journey but before i can go… i have a list of goals to meet!

It looks like i will be delaying my departure until april now…

the great news is that there will be less time dealing with unfocussed venture and more time for something i love… production!

One exciting project… well i’m certainly excited… it that i have a very short time to write a song!!
Now, you’ll have to forgive my rustyness… i used to play/write music in 1997-1999 but it’s been soo long…

Maybe my wonderful talented friend zizi will lend some of her amazing musical talent and help me out? ^__^
but it’s certainly going to be an adventure
