Internet Speed Test Result

Moving is finally completed!
However, it left me for 3 weeks with no internet connectivity other than my mobile phone
(or huddling on the balcony in the snow trying to connect to a distant wifi)

On the bright side, I finally have my fiber internet hooked up.
If you live in Japan, then you would know that this is flets hikari offered by
Japan’s incumbant telecommunications company, NTT.

To my surprise, the Fiber internet costs about two thirds of what I was paying to YahooBB for their ADSL
service, yet Hikari has far greater upload speeds.

As you can see in the image above, I’m getting about 30M download and 8.5M upload inside Japan
(however) 8M download and 1.5M upload connecting across the world to Vancouver.

Hopefully this will enable greater ease of connectivity with colleagues in Vancouver.
